Dear O'Hara Families,
Jog- A- Thon is off to a great start!

The following announcements were made this morning at our Jog-A-Thon assembly:

The following four students won last week's pledge incentive of $25: Ethan Angeles, Dani Chávez, Sophia Lydon, and Leon Hernandez-Heckathorn.

As an incentive for THIS WEEK: if every student in your child's class  brings in at least ONE PLEDGE ($5.00 minimum) by 8:05 am on Friday (9/28), that class will earn a  free dress day on October 3. If your student(s) have already brought in $5 or more, then that counts toward this week's incentive.

*We will announce which classes have earned a free dress day in Sunday's bulletin and at the Monday Morning assembly on September 30. Please reference the Student/Parent Handbook for free dress guidelines.

On  Friday, October 18, Pre-K through 8th grade will have their Jog-A-Thon from 1:30pm-2:30pm. At 2:30pm, middle school students will participate in a color blast in the middle of the field. The rest of the students (Pre-K - 5th) will line the track and cheer them on.

Preschool will have their Jog-A-Thon in the morning, from 10:15am-11:00am, on October 18. They will stretch and warm-up first, run for about half an hour, and then hand out medals at the end. Parents can either take their kids from there, or they can stay and finish out the day with us. Students that are not napping will go cheer on the rest of the school in the afternoon.

Each pledge makes a huge difference and we are striving for 100% participation from all students. Last week, our students raised $2,994. Help us reach our school-wide goal of  $70,000.
Visit  O'Hara's website for more information and links to  PledgeStar instructions, pledge forms and volunteer opportunities.

Thank you in advance for your support of the Jog-A-Thon!
