FEATURED SAINT

St. Gianna Beretta Molla
Feast Day:  April 28

St. Gianna Beretta Molla was a pediatrician, wife and mother who lived from 1922-1962. While pregnant with her fourth baby, doctors discovered that she had a tumor. She refused an abortion, saving the life of her daughter Giannina, but she therefore died a week after giving birth. She was canonized in 2004 and her husband and daughter were present for the canonization.
