O&N Welcomes Our New Board Members

Heather Granato

A 26-year veteran of the natural products industry, currently serving as Vice President, Content, in the Health & Nutrition division of Informa Markets. She was named to the FOLIO: 100 list of top media professionals in 2018, was selected as a 2015 Top Woman in Media by FOLIO:, and lead the INSIDER team as it was recognized that year by FOLIO: as B2B Editorial Team of the Year. She received the 2014 Visionary Award and the 2018 Journalistic Excellence Award from the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA); and she was honored with the CEO Merit Award for Content from Virgo in 2014. Granato graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond, Virginia, in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism; she currently serves as a national vice president for Kappa Alpha Theta women's fraternity.

Katherine Paul

Associate director of the Organic Consumers Association (OCA), a consumer and environmental advocacy nonprofit focused on the food and agriculture industries. Paul oversees OCA’s communications, online fundraising, and grantwriting. She also serves as the liaison with attorneys representing OCA in consumer protection and false labeling lawsuits against food corporations. Paul serves on the boards of Regeneration International and the Regenerative Agriculture Alliance. Prior to joining OCA in 2012, Paul was associate director of Common Dreams, a nonprofit online independent news organization. Her past experience includes writing/reporting for newpapers and business publications, and marketing and public relations in the corporate world.

Naomi Whittel

Dan Lifton, New Board Treasurer

In addition to electing three new Members of the Board of Directors, Dan Lifton was elected Treasurer, taking the place of Founding Member Joe Sander. The Board wishes to thank Joe for his service and commitment to creating the Organic & Natural Health Association.
