Join us for a free community event as a new Ronald McDonald House opens in Oakland.
The block party will take place in front of the new home and provide a festive day filled with live music and activities for kids.

HTA Consulting is thrilled to congratulate California State University, East Bay, and its many community partners in the Hayward Promise Neighborhood initiative for its award of $30 million over the next five years from the U.S. Department of Education’s Promise Neighborhoods program. Cal State East Bay was one of only four grantees nationwide and the only awardee west of the Mississippi River.

Congratulations to the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District for winning two awards to convert the San Lorenzo Creek Trail into a bike trail and pedestrian pathway and venue for education and youth development, including:
  • A grant for $17,200,000 from the Active Transportation Program administered by CalTrans and the San Francisco Metropolitan Transportation Commission
  • A grant for $9,621,000 through the SF MTC’s One Bay Area Grant program
Congratulations as well to the Alameda County Office of Education for successfully applying for a four-year, $2.5 million Teacher Residency Implementation Grant from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, to support its collaboration with local school districts and the Alder Graduate School of Education to train candidates from diverse backgrounds for the teaching profession.
 
Purpose: The legislature has provided an on-going budget allocation of $12 million annually to build capacity within SELPAs, COEs, and LEAs to address this specific need. Through this request for applications, chosen special education resource leads will become important members of the SSOS, to provide more targeted support related to special education and the education of students with disabilities.
