Family Medical Centers’ first school-based center in Rock Hill, Ohio, eliminates these strains by enabling children to be seen by health professionals and prescribed treatment on campus while parents remain at work.

HHWP CAC Hosts Event to Support Ohio Breastfeeding Awareness Month

HHWP Community Action Commission’s WIC program will host the "Big Latch On" for breastfeeding mothers or women who plan to breastfeed from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Riverside Park.

The experience is intended to bring friends, family and community members together to celebrate, support and promote breastfeeding women, pregnant women, support people and children. Woman and children are welcome to attend for conversation, games, crafts, a photo booth and prizes.

"Self-Employment: From Dream to Reality" Small Business Classes Being Offered in Pike County

Piketon—The Workforce & Business Development Program at Community Action Committee of Pike County will be offering classes focusing on the process of starting your own business.

The “Self-Employment: From Dream to Reality” class sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday each week from 1 – 4pm, starting September 14 and ending on October 14. These classes will be held at the OSU Endeavor Center located at 1864 Shyville Road, Piketon.

The other building will be the location for Bridges Community Action Partnership, Mercy Mission House Shelter and Family Resource Center onsite counselor offices along with the women’s shelter and family units. Construction has begun in phases in this building. The Bridges Community Action Partnership offices will be opening at the new location in September. The plan is to open the rest of the building in January 2022.
