IMPACT CA makes national news with desks program
FRANKLIN COUNTY — IMPACT Community Action has made national news with their new desks for kids program. With the help of local artists and donations, this program provides kids with a place to focus on their school work while learning from home during the pandemic and beyond. >>> WATCH NOW

Also, from CNN, Neighborhoods at risk for Covid see disproportionately high eviction rates. IMPACT CA is an integral partner to helping prevent evictions in Franklin County.

HCCAO Head Start returns after closing in March

HIGHLAND COUNTY - The Highland County Community Action Organization’s Head Start program has returned to in-person classes after previously closing in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. School started back on Monday, Sept. 14, and Program Director, Valerie Williams reported a smooth start to the 2020-21 school year.

Hunger in the Year 2020: A FB Live Discussion
Hocking Athens Perry County Community Action, along with Ohio Association of Foodbanks held a Facebook Live discussion for Hunger Action Month.

The conversation addressed food insecurity and focused on issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dayton saw its poverty rate increase in 2019 for the first time in years, which bucked the national trend and contributed to the Gem City having one of the highest poverty rates in the nation among mid- to large-sized cities...
