Support Measure 104
Thanks to your support and the 180,000 Oregonians who signed a petition, voters have the opportunity to protect mortgage and property tax deductions this fall by voting Yes on 104.

This measure will ensure that any legislation that raises revenue requires a three-fifths supermajority vote. This includes fees or the elimination of tax exemptions, deductions or credits. It will close the loopholes and make sure politicians follow the state Constitution.

Your signature helped us place Measure 104 on the ballot -- but now the real work begins to educate voters! Here’s how you can help.

  • Request a lawn sign to put up in your yard.
  • Volunteer to call other voters or walk door-to-door

Legal Hotline Q&A
Question: I am representing a seller on a transaction. The offer is a bumpable offer with the Contingent Right to Purchase. The box on the form is checked that inspections begin after the contingent sale contingency is removed. As soon as the offer was accepted I sent over the property disclosures. When does the timeline for buyers review begin for the disclosures?

Answer: As the property disclosure statement is addressed by statute and is not contractual in nature, the timeline for revocation would arguably remain the same, with the buyer having five days after delivery of the statement within which to revoke his or her offer. However, as the Contingent Right to Purchase form does not specifically address this, it would be prudent for the brokers to confirm they share the same understanding so as to avoid any potential conflicts between their respective clients .
