OBCDC Welcomes New Employee to the Team

OBCDC welcomed new employee Kniel Christensen to the team on May 20. In his role as the Commercial Corridor Development Coordinator, he will lead the Middle Neighborhood Initiative work along the Broadview corridor in Old Brooklyn. This unique position is a shared position between OBCDC, MetroWest CDO, and Slavic Village Development. This Summer: Fresh New Murals Coming Soon!

Community murals are a great way to work together and bring vibrancy to the neighborhood. This summer over the course of the Old Brooklyn Farmers Market season, community members will have the opportunity to paint various panels that will cover the boarded-up windows at 4209 Pearl Road. The panels, designed by local artist Cori Richards, feature a colorful and bright array of fruits and veggies that will liven up the space and bring vibrancy to the street and vacant building. We are excited to work on this with you!
