Beginning Sunday we will be distributing bags for children, youth, and adults that are full of activities, devotions, and service projects that will help you to prepare your hearts for the coming of Christ during the Advent season. In addition to picking up your bag(s) while at worship, we will have an opportunity for you to get yours at an Advent bag drive-through on Wednesday, November 18 from 2:30PM - 3:30PM and Monday, November 23 from 2:30PM - 3:30PM.

If you would like a bag but will not be in worship and are unable to stop by during either of our drive-through pick ups, CLICK HERE and we deliver your bag(s).

Returning to In-person Worship
November 15

As we continue to make plans for returning to in-person worship, CLICK HERE to read a letter from Deacon Chairperson, David Williams.
Please let us know if you plan to be here. You can sign up by clicking the button below, or calling the Church Office (803-328-3864). All the details, as well a brief informational video can be found toward the bottom of this email.
As we return we will need those who are planning to attend in-person worship to help out. The two main areas where we need volunteers are 1) Greeters (standing at the doors by the hand sanitizer, reminding people to clean their hands, handing out masks to anyone who forget theirs, handing out worship guides, etc), 2) Sound Booth (this is a job that will be safely distanced from other people, with any necessary training provided)
We recognize that many of you will continue to worshipping with us online. Click the button below for information about accessing worship beginning November 15.
An announcement about children's and youth basketball is coming SOON!

Representatives from our Recreation Committee will be attending a meeting tonight to learn what the York County Christian Basketball Association is striving to provide this year. Be on the lookout for more information next week.
Christmas at Connie Maxwell

Each year Oakland Baptist provides Christmas gifts for the children at Connie Maxwell Children’s Home. Due to Covid-19 we have been asked to provide two gift cards per child. At this time they have approximately 98 children so please be generous!

We invite you to donate money to OBC which we will use to purchase gift cards. Together we will make it a special Christmas for these children! You may send your donation electronically by clicking the button below. You may also mail your donation to the church, or drop off by the Church Office. Please note on the donation that it is for Connie Maxwell. All donations need to be received by Monday, November 23.

*Cottages gifts will NOT be purchased this year unless extra funds are given.
Questions: please contact Jane Rawls or Rev. Suzanne Ringer (803)328-3864
