Let Your Voice Be Heard

As the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship nears its 30 th  year, their leadership has embarked on a journey of discovery. The world has changed since CBF’s founding in 1991—and so have the needs of congregations. The first phase of this discovery is hearing feedback from CBF partner churches. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey by clicking the button below. For all congregations that have participation above 20%, a custom report of the congregation’s responses with anonymity will be provided. Let us join with CBF in moving  Toward Bold Faithfulness  in our life together for the sake of Christ’s mission amid a changing world.
February Missions Month

This Sunday begins our February missions emphasis month. Please prayerfully consider how you will support the Offering for Global Missions which supports field personnel doing the work of Christ across the world. Your gifts to the Offering will offer opportunities to create community, study Scripture in native languages, and support very practical ministries that allow those less fortunate to live more abundantly. Our offering goal for this year is $25,000 and you may contribute with cash, check, credit/debit, or through the Breeze app. Please make sure your gift is notated with “Missions.” Thank you for the generous ways you continue to be the presence of Christ around the world!
Calling All Artists!

As part of our 70 th  Anniversary celebration, we are having an art contest! You are invited to create a worship cover to be used on our Homecoming Worship Guide next July. Here are the rules:
  • Must be representative of Oakland’s 70th Anniversary
  • Must be hand drawn in color (no digital or photo pictures will be accepted)
  • Must be on an 8 ½ x 11 portrait orientation white sheet of paper
  • Must submit a hard copy to the church office by January 31st.
There will be a children's category (12 and below) and an adult category (13 and above). During the month of February, all submissions will be voted on by monetary donations which will benefit our Global Missions Offering. During the Sundays leading up to Homecoming, the top five vote receivers will be used as our Worship Guide cover photo. For more information, contact Erica Smith at  ericadbeatson@yahoo.com .
Let's Tackle Hunger

The Super Bowl is approaching, as is the end of our Souper Bowl of Caring food collection. Help us tackle hunger in Rock Hill by placing your non-perishable food items on the table outside of the Sanctuary or the table outside of the gym. All food items collected between now and Super Bowl Sunday (February 2) will be delivered to Project Hope by our Youth. If you would prefer to make a monetary donation, please notate "Souper Bowl" on the check or online donation.

Enrollment opens to the public Monday, February 3rd, so spread the word if you know a family who would benefit from joining us! ALSO , our Mobile Spirit Night is this TODAY (January 30) from 5 PM - 8 PM at Chick-fil-A Cherry Road. Orders must be placed through the mobile app to benefit Oakland Day School, but patrons can dine in or use the drive through. 100% of funds raised from our Spirit Nights go directly back to the classrooms for educational resources. Thank you for continuing to support our students and teachers!
Dear Ministry Center Volunteers,
The Ministry Center Committee is attempting to get a clear picture of how many people it takes to make the center work (clothing and benevolence). We also want to know how many hours are worked during a typical month. This type of information is very important as we seek funding from outside sources. A logbook for February has been prepared and is located at the computer station. Please begin signing in and out this Saturday and include any time you spent shopping or transporting goods to the center.
The committee knows it takes many people and many hours to make the center work and we want to quantify just how dedicated you are to this ministry.

ALSO, The Ministry Center is in need of housewares such as dishes, pots and pans, sheets (please label sizes), towels, small kitchen appliances, and especially blankets. We will accept these housewares through the front door on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9AM until 11:30AM, and on Thursdays from 10AM until Noon. Thank you for your continued support of this important ministry.
