Our many thanks to all those who assisted with the Black Saints Celebration on November 4th. It was a beautiful celebration of our Black Catholic Culture and the work of the Sisters of the Holy Family. It is not everyday we get to hold up the model of 175 years of service. The culminating event will take place this Sunday, November 19th at 3 pm. Archbishop Christoph Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio (Pope's Representative to the United States), will be the celebrant of the Mass at St. Louis Cathedral.
Over the course of the next months we will be sending out information in reference to how each of us might help the sisters in their mission to the poor, the disenfranchised, and the needy. We will also be assisting them in spreading the message about the cause of Venerable Henriette Delille.
Lastly, we have prayer cards of the five Black Catholics on the Road to Sainthood for purchase in the OBCM. If you would like to purchase a set or more please contact Ms. Alecia Bloodworth in the office. Let us keep moving forward and serving the Lord.
