OC San General Manager Jim Herberg and Orange County Water District (OCWD) General Manager Mike Markus are hosting a joint Virtual Tour highlighting the two special districts and the world's largest water purification facility for potable reuse.
During the one hour tour, you will learn about the successful partnership between the two agencies and how together they built and are expanding the Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS) which takes treated wastewater and purifies it to drinking water standards.
The General Managers will demonstrate how the wastewater treatment process occurs and discuss the groundwater management operations and guide participants through the operations of the Groundwater Replenishment System.
