Come Join Us! OC San and OCWD Host Joint Virtual Tour

As partners of the Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS), OC San and the Orange County Water District (OCWD) are partnering yet again to give you a live virtual tour of the two agencies and tell you all about the world's largest water purification system for indirect potable reuse.  This tour will be presented by OC San General Manager, Jim Herberg and OCWD General Manager, Mike Markus.

The unique experience will highlight the two agencies, describe where the water comes from, and how we collect and treat nearly 130 million gallons a day of wastewater before sending it to the GWRS for further purification. The water from the GWRS is ultra-pure and meets all drinking water standards.

A live Q & A session will take place at the end of the presentation.

OCSD is a public agency that provides wastewater collection, treatment, and recycling for approximately 2.6 million people in central and northwest Orange County. OCSD is a special district that is governed by a 25 member Board of Directors comprised of 20 cities, four special districts, and one representative from the Orange County Board of Supervisors. OCSD operates a large regional sewer system and two treatment facilities that collect, treat and recycle wastewater from residential, commercial and industrial sources.
