DECEMBER 14 - OCAABA DAY AT PLC'S SEALOP CLINIC
The Public Law Center's South East Asian Legal Outreach Program (SEALOP) provides free civil legal assistance at the BPSOS Center for Community Advancement, Inc., 13950 Milton Ave. Suite 301, Westminster, CA 92683.
Clinics take place on the second Saturday of every month from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.

January 17 Deadline - Orange County Grand Juror Applications Now Being Accepted
The Court is accepting applications for a one-year Grand Jury term that begins July 1, 2020. To qualify to serve on the Grand Jury, you must be a resident of Orange County for at least a year, a United States citizen, at least 18 years old, in possession of sound judgment, and have sufficient knowledge of English. Interested citizens must apply by January 17, 2020.

Applications Open for 2020 MTO FELLOWS PROGRAM
Applications are now open for the 2020 MTO Fellows Program. This program is an important initiative at Munger Tolles & Olson designed to encourage, promote and support a community of individuals who contribute to the diversity of the legal profession. The program is intended for individuals seeking to start law school in fall 2021 (college juniors or seniors as of spring 2020, or individuals who have already graduated).

Office of the City Attorney, City of Oakland Seeks Summer Law Clerks
The Oakland City Attorney's Office will be accepting applications beginning December 1, 2019 from law students for full-time and part-time summer Law Clerk positions. Applications for clinical semesters and volunteer fall and spring Law Clerks will also be accepted. The summer Law Clerk positions are full-time (37.5 hours per week). However, a part-time schedule may be approved. Due to budget constraints, these positions are available only on a work-study, volunteer or academic credit basis. Fall and spring Law Clerk positions are part-time and may be staffed on a volunteer or academic credit basis. There is not a minimum time commitment for Law Clerks, but reasonable notice of departure is requested. Applications will be accepted and reviewed until Wednesday, January 15, 2020. ongoing (as of December 13, 2019) case list for individuals in need of pro bono representation. The PLC staff can answer any questions you may have related to your case to support you in your pro bono representation; locate a mentor to help you; supply you with samples and manuals (some case types excluded); provide translation support in Spanish and Vietnamese; and arrange for office space for you to meet with your client at PLC.
