FEBRUARY 29 - cle: "THE FACES OF HOMELESSNESS"
+ BACKPACK ASSEMBLY
Help us pack toiletries and winter goods into backpacks for our unsheltered neighbors while you learn! Light lunch provided.
- Mayor Katrina Foley will present what Costa Mesa and other cities are doing to address homelessness
- The Orange County Mobile Home Coalition leaders and residents will discuss their experience as seniors when the laws failed to protect their community leaving many without homes
- Brooke Weitzman will present the state of homelessness and the impact of litigation in Orange County
Cost: Attendance is free but guests are encouraged either to donate an item from the Amazon or Target wish lists on the event registration page OR bring a gently used backpack to the event.

The Public Law Center's South East Asian Legal Outreach Program (SEALOP) provides free civil legal assistance at the BPSOS Center for Community Advancement, Inc., 13950 Milton Ave. Suite 301, Westminster, CA 92683.
Clinics take place on the second Saturday of every month from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.

Justice in Aging Seeks Senior Staff Attorney Justice in Aging seeks a Senior Staff Attorney with at least seven years of experience to join their Economic Security team in either their Oakland or Los Angeles, CA office. The successful candidate will develop and lead a new project to respond to the needs of low-income older adults in California facing housing instability. This is an exciting opportunity to advocate for solutions to systemic problems at the state and federal level for housing issues impacting low-income older Californians, and to provide legal training and technical assistance to advocates across the state. The PLC staff can answer any questions you may have related to your case to support you in your pro bono representation; locate a mentor to help you; supply you with samples and manuals (some case types excluded); provide translation support in Spanish and Vietnamese; and arrange for office space for you to meet with your client at PLC.
