NEW
CALIFORNIA CHANGELAWYERS "KEEP FAMILIES TOGETHER" FUND
From Chris Punongbayan, Executive Director of California ChangeLawyers (formerly the California Bar Foundation), August 8, 2018:

"Hi Friends-

Despite a court-ordered deadline that passed more than a week ago, hundreds of children remain in government custody.

More than 700 families were deemed "ineligible" for reunification either because of legal trouble or due to the fact that the parents had already been deported.

Lawyers are needed to continue the work of reuniting these families and stemming the tide of trauma these children are experiencing.

Despite court orders and nationwide outrage, families remain separated and detained.

I'm writing today to ask you to please help me in this fight.

California ChangeLawyers has set up a Keep Families Together Fund. 100% of donations will be used to help legal services organizations in California hire more lawyers and law students to fight attacks on immigrants' rights.

If you've already donated to national organizations, double your impact by donating at the local level."
