OC TREASURER’S PENALTY CANCELLATIONS FOR CASH-STRAPPED PROPERTY OWNERS:*

More than 5,600 taxpayers received penalty cancellation waivers, saving property owners over $3.6 million. The secured taxes collection rate ended up at 99.15% as of June 30, 2020, just slightly less than the prior year’s collection rate.
