  • In June 2019, the Placentia City Council voted to create a new, City-run fire department and awarded a professional services agreement with Lynch EMS to provide 911/Advanced Life Support paramedic services to the community—improving services while vastly reducing costs. Since the program launched on July 1, 2020, Lynch EMS has reduced emergency response times by nearly half. The flexibility that contracting with a private provider offers has reduced the need for mutual aid assistance from surrounding fire departments by over 80 percent.
