BANK OF AMERICA PROVIDES 146,000 MASKS TO UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES IN OC:
  • The donation is part of a nationwide effort by Bank of America to immediately distribute nearly four million masks to communities disproportionally impacted by COVID-19. Recipients of the mask donations in OC include: Latino Health Access, Mercy House, The Wooden Floor, OC Rescue Mission, Camino Health Center, Meals on Wheels, and Friendship Shelter.

  • A school reopening survey conducted by the office of The Honorable John Moorlach show that 46% of parents feel comfortable to send their children to school now. View statistics.

  • The Honorable Eugene Scalia, U.S. Secretary of Labor, is one of many federal leaders speaking at OCBC’s DC Advocacy Summit next week on Monday, August 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Other confirmed speakers include Reps. AFFORDABLE SALIVA-BASED COVID-19 TEST RECEIVES FDA EMERGENCY USE AUTHORIZATION:
  • Yale scientists have developed SalivaDirect, an affordable swab that tests asymptomatic people through a system that has tested basketball players and staff from the National Basketball Association. Immediate use is available for diagnostic testing centers and will be scaled up for nationwide distribution.
