MOVE THE NEEDLE:
  • Scientists initially estimated that, to banish coronavirus, 60 to 70 percent of the population needed to acquire resistance to it.

ADVOCACY
OCBC CONTINUES ADVOCACY ON MAJOR BILLS IN LEGISLATURE:
  • While there have been numerous legislative victories for OC’s business community, many bills are still moving in Sacramento. Bills OCBC supports include AB 537 and SB 556, two bills expanding reliable high-speed internet access, and SB 9 and SB 10, which help address CA's housing supply crisis. OCBC strongly opposes AB 701, which would cause increased litigation risks for warehouses, and AB 1041, which burdens employers by broadly and unnecessarily expanding employee leave.
