SINGLE-PAYER HEALTHCARE BILL WOULD IMPOSE UNPRECEDENTED TAX INCREASE, STIFLE INNOVATION:
-
OCBC and an expansive coalition of business leaders urge the State Legislature to vote NO on AB 1400 and ACA 14, bills that would impose an onerous $160-170B annual tax increase and restrict innovation in health care through a government run single-payer system. While OCBC encourages the state to expand health care access, the state can expand coverage to the 6% of Californians who are uninsured without punishing both employers and employees with the biggest tax increase in state history. Find and contact your Assemblymember to let them know you oppose the economically ruinous AB 1400/ACA 11.
