SPRING IS AROUND THE CORNER AND ART CLASSES ARE STARTING! BECOME INSPIRED....

Intermediate painters can join a 4 week instructional workshop with water-colorist Linda Luke Monday!

OR Enjoy a 4 week Lecture Series to learn more about
The Impressionist - "The Other French Revolution"...

Instructor Mary Wittemann has been living in Oxford for 4 years.  She came to Oxford from the interesting city of Richmond Va.  Art, particularly painting has always interested Mary. When in her 20's, without any formal training, she began to paint with oils.  If asked who influenced her artistic style, she would tell you it was Auguste Renoir. Years of painting, and reading about art and artists; the Impressionist, Impressionist Art, and Post-Impressionist years, became the catalyst for her growing collection of art books which now number 200+.  Having always enjoyed seeing people learn, and having a professional teacher/instructor background Mary decided to offer this very interesting, informative series.

THURSDAY NIGHT'S @ OCC

March 15th: Wendy Grubbs (and four legged friends)

Why is there a need to dedicate a program to seniors Dogs? Older dogs often go from a comfortable home situation into a noisy shelter through no fault of their own. Sometimes, their owners get sick and can no longer care for them. Other times, the owners simply can't afford the increased expenses that can come with a senior dog. In many cases, sadly, families think that their senior dogs are simply too old, and so, they abandon them. These situations are heartbreaking, and they place senior dog at especially high-risk for euthanasia when surrendered to a shelter. Most will not make it out alive.
