Greetings,

Orange County Government recently held a press conference announcing a phased approach to easing countywide face coverings as stated by the new guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on outdoor mask use for those who are fully vaccinated.

On April 28, 2021, Mayor Jerry L. Demings introduced a three-phased plan to ease social distancing and mask guidelines:

  • Phase 1 – Effective Immediately, physical distance is reduced from 6 to 3 feet in all settings, including the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). Fully vaccinated individuals should continue to follow CDC guidelines for wearing facial coverings while indoors.

  • Phase 2 – The facial covering mandate for outdoors will be lifted in Orange County for all individuals when 50% of the population 16 and older has received their first dose of the vaccine. Facial coverings are still required indoors, except when eating or drinking.

  • Phase 3 – All mandates in Orange County will be lifted when 70% of the population 16 or older has received their first dose of the vaccine or Orange County’s 14-day rolling positivity rate is 5% or below.

Sessions and events held in OCCC ballrooms and meeting rooms will continue to be designed based on a 50% capacity. However, if you would like to discuss alternate plans, please reach out to your event manager. For more information about Orange County's Executive Order, visit ocfl.net/ExecutiveOrders.

Thank you for your continued confidence in the OCCC.
