Greetings,

I want to thank you for your continued support of the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). We look forward to hosting your event at The Center of Hospitality in the future.

By now many of you may have heard of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ executive order suspending COVID-19 restrictions and mandates. We wanted to let you know what we are doing here in Orange County and at the OCCC.

First, we will continue with the mask mandate for our employees at all Orange County Government facilities, including the OCCC.

Second, we have been working directly with events occurring in the next few months regarding specific health and safety plans and strongly encourage you to stay the course and require the wearing of masks during your event.

Additionally, we will continue to adhere to our Recovery and Resiliency Guidelines for the foreseeable future. The 50 percent occupancy in ballrooms and meeting rooms will stay in effect. Should you want to discuss alternatives, please reach out to us.

Included below is a discussion from our Mayor Jerry L. Demings, and myself, at a recent press conference regarding the mask mandate. Please note Mayor Demings’ comments regarding reaching 70 percent immunity in Orange County, prior to feeling comfortable to not recommend the wearing of masks.

We appreciate your partnership as we continue on this road to recovery together. We look forward to seeing you soon.
