Following a successful first quarter of our 2023-2024 fiscal year, the second quarter has been nothing short of stellar at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). We have maintained a steady pace of events and have created unforgettable experiences for both clients and attendees. Our team continuously displays a fervent dedication to the mission of providing economic impact for our community, while providing world-class customer service.
From January to March 2024, we welcomed approximately 579,400 attendees to 52 events, generating an estimated $1.08 billion in economic impact for the Central Florida region. These numbers are a direct reflection of our diligence in exceeding expectations and being a hub for innovation and business as clients are pushing the envelope for their attendees during their events at the OCCC.
The record-breaking attendance at conventions and trade shows, such as the PGA Show, Orgill 2024 Spring Market, Surf Expo, VMX and MEGACON Orlando all highlight the collaborative effort of our valued staff, industry-leading partners and steadfast clients and attendees.
As we enter our third quarter from April to June, we are pleased to bring back legacy events such as the Orlando Boat Show, NPE2024: The Plastics Show and the AAU Jr. National Volleyball Championships. Looking ahead, we are also excited to host events like SAP Saphire and ASUG Annual Conference, and Premiere Orlando 2024.
