Greetings and Happy New Year,
The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) is starting the year off strong by continuing to host some of the largest and most prestigious events in North America. In 2022, we welcomed an array of both new and returning meetings and events, resulting in significant guest attendance and economic impact for the region.
During the second quarter of our fiscal year, from January to March, the OCCC is projected to host 48 events, with approximately 368,000 attendees, creating an estimated $767 million in economic impact. Overall, this fiscal year, we are positioned to host 137 events with approximately 1.4 million attendees, creating an estimated economic impact of $2.7 billion.
This year marks a major milestone for The Center of Hospitality, as we celebrate 40 years of creating Transformational Experiences with our clients, partners, stakeholders and guests. It is amazing to reflect upon how much we’ve grown since our humble beginnings in 1983. Four decades and five expansions later, the OCCC is now the third-largest convention center in North America and widely regarded as a premier venue and meetings destination.
With that, we are excited to share our Transformational Experiences campaign video, symbolizing the very essence of the unparalleled hospitality we have been known for during the past 40 years.
