Exhibition Services & Contractors Association Partners with Orange County Convention Center

The Exhibition Services & Contractors Association (ESCA) has partnered with the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) to continue to enhance the security and safety of the OCCC.

Effective July 1, 2023, all general service contractors needing access to work in the OCCC must be identified with The ESCA Badge.

The ESCA Badge is a national Worker Identification & Security Program that allows entry into participating facilities by the workers who have been registered with the Program.

All contractors, suppliers, and vendors who need access to work in the facility must be identified with The ESCA Badge or a credential issued through the OCCC. All exhibition workers are REQUIRED to display for scanning and MUST wear it always on the outermost garment to work on-site.

To remain flexible during this transition, the OCCC will provide temporary ESCA photo ID badges at security check-in. These badges will be good for 30 days and are subject to expire on August 1, 2023. This is to encourage the individual to obtain a permanent ESCA Badge.

Please ensure that all EXPIRED or DAMAGED badges have been RENEWED and are FULLY FUNCTIONAL. Any exhibition workers without a valid ESCA Badge will not be allowed entry after August 1, 2023.

ESCA and the OCCC are excited about this partnership and continuing the core mission of the Program.

"The OCCC continues to prioritize the safety and security of our employees, customers, and service contractors," said OCCC Executive Director Mark Tester. "To uphold this commitment, we have partnered with ESCA to implement The ESCA Badge, for all vendor and contract staff. We are confident that this partnership will further assist the Center in delivering a safe and secure experience for all of our contractors."
