ARPA Stabilization Grant Update - Webinar Follow-Up

The Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) is making American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Stabilization Grants available to eligible child care providers. Previous updates can be found on the ARPA Stabilization Grants page on the Pennsylvania Key website.

This update is a follow-up to the Sept. 8, 2021, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Stabilization Grants Webinar, hosted by OCDEL Deputy Secretary, Tracey Campanini.

Sept. 14: Pennsylvania Perinatal Quality Collaborative’s (PA PQC) Learning Session

To help build and strengthen working relationships with local birthing hospitals and increase appropriate referrals to Early Intervention, Infant Toddler Early Intervention (EI) County Coordinators are invited to participate in the Pennsylvania Perinatal Quality Collaborative’s (PA PQC) Learning Session on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This is a great opportunity for EI programs to connect with their local NICU, birthing hospital, or even affiliated pediatric offices to increase referrals to EI. Connecting families to EI services is one of the PA PQC’s key interventions. Meet champions from the NICUs and birthing hospitals who share your goals. Learn more.
Have you applied to serve on the Early Learning Council Executive or Subcommittees?

If you haven't yet applied to serve on the Pennsylvania Early Learning Council (ELC) Executive and Subcommittees, there is still time! 

Established by Executive Order in 2008, ELC is a Governor appointed council that advises the work of OCDEL by providing feedback on current and proposed OCDEL initiatives and policies. Applications, including a resume/vita with contact information,  will be received until 5 pm on Sept. 30, 2021. Click here to learn more about the work of the ELC, its member’s responsibilities and how to apply. All questions may be directed to Karen Grimm-Thomas, OCDEL Director of External Relations at [email protected].
Tomorrow is the Deadline to Participate in ARTIC Survey

Tomorrow, Sept. 14, 2021, is the deadline to participate in the ARTIC Survey. As a participant, you will help guide statewide decision making around workforce development and early childhood mental health resources on trauma-informed care. Twice a year, participants will take a 15-35 minute online ARTIC Survey and provide confidential input about how they view and experience the availability of knowledge, support, and other resources for the practice of trauma-informed care as it is integrated into the early childhood system.
