The Orange County Economic Development Partnership (OCEDP) is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Small Business Grant program. In its third year, the program continues to support local small businesses with projects that strengthen operations, expand services, increase property value, improve building appearance, and contribute to the long-term vitality of Orange County’s economy and downtown areas.
This year, OCEDP received more than $90,000 in funding requests from member businesses. After careful consideration and a competitive review process, seven small businesses were selected to receive grant funding, totaling $40,000.
The 2026 OCEDP Small Business Grant awardees are:
- Elite Therapeutic Massage & Tanning: Grant funds will support the purchase of hydraulic tables and table inserts to enhance client care and service delivery.
- French Licks: Funding will be used to purchase a soft serve ice cream machine, allowing the business to expand its offerings.
- Hawkins Health Center: Grant funds will support the purchase of a KDT Neural-Flex Table to increase service offerings.
- King Cat Tattoo: Funding will be used for exterior painting and new flooring as part of facade and facility improvements.
- Kirk Veterinary Service: Grant funds will support remodeling and expansion efforts at the veterinary office.
- Lost River Co-op & Cafe: Funding will be used to purchase a commercial freezer to support future corporate partnerships and expanded business opportunities.
- The Superburger: Grant funds will support exterior signage improvements.
Grants were awarded in varying amounts based on each business’s specific project scope, potential community impact, and alignment with OCEDP’s goals of fostering sustainable economic growth in Orange County.
“Each year, this program reinforces just how much drive, creativity, and commitment exists within Orange County’s small business community,” shared Skylar Whiteman, Executive Director of OCEDP. “These projects may look different from business to business, but they all represent meaningful investments in growth, sustainability, building improvements, and the customer experience. OCEDP is proud to support our member businesses as they continue to serve our community and strengthen the local economy.”
Now in its third year, the Small Business Grant program is designed to assist OCEDP member businesses with projects that make an impact on their operations, sustainability, property value, and physical presence in the community. Funding can be used for capital improvements, equipment purchases, marketing, workforce development, facade improvements, and other business-critical needs.
