Tour of the Edmond History Museum and Stephenson Park

Join the Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture for a tour of the Edmond History Museum and Stephenson Park on Tuesday, August 27 at 5:30 p.m. We will be joined by Amy Stephens, the Executive Director of the Edmond History Center and individuals from Freese and Nichols.

BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Tony, with over 30 years of experience in the architectural field, has successfully executed diverse projects throughout various municipalities across the state of Oklahoma. His strengths are centered around a process that provides intellectual continuity across all phases, design development through construction administration, leading to an effective execution of the client’s vision. Project experience include master planning, municipal, education, hospitality, cultural centers, medical centers, retail and commercial, sports facilities, multi-family housing and residential. Tony is an Oklahoma State University graduate, where he met his wife and now has three OSU children. He leads the Edmond office, which is the largest architectural firm in Edmond. He uses his free time in service of his church and city – on the OKC Foundation for Architecture as Chairman, the Oklahoma City Downtown Design Review committee, the Oklahoma City Urban Design Board and is a past director of the American Institute of Architects Central Oklahoma Chapter.

State Historic Preservation Office Webinar

Ever wondered what those little buildings in town were for? Many of them were calabooses, or tiny jails, and housed the town's tipsy, disorderly, and dangerous. Join Michael Mayes, SHPO's survey coordinator, for a look at Oklahoma's calabooses and learn more about how early Oklahomans were tough on crime, the integrity of resources, the National Register of Historic Places and its evaluation criteria, and more.

Saving Places for 75 Years

Join the National Trust for Historic Preservation for the PastForward National Preservation Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, October 28-30, 2024.


PastForward 2024 will kick off a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the evolving practice of preservation in one of the country’s most historic cities. Joining us will be the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans celebrating its 50th anniversary, Main Street Louisiana marking its 40th anniversary, and the National Center for Preservation Trades and Technology founded 30 years ago.
