SB 279 (NP broad scope expansion) has a Senate hearing on Wednesday!

An urgent request for help. You may have heard the Senate has a hearing testimony on Senate Bill 279, which would allow for the unsupervised practice of medicine by nurse practitioners, this coming Wednesday, October 25. MSMS is preparing testimony and sharing information about why this legislation is not good for Michigan patients with our legislative partners. MSMS is prepared to testify in opposition, but they didn’t expect this bill to have a hearing so soon. With this development, MSMS government relations team needs to shift into high gear, and Michigan physicians need to provide support. Want to keep physicians at the head of the healthcare team?
