The Onondaga County Medical Society is so happy to be hosting a Red Cross Community Blood Drive alongside Laurence Segal's Cans for Cancer !

Over half of all platelets collected by the Red Cross are used by patients with cancer, who often require multiple transfusions when undergoing chemotherapy or surgery.

It's not easy for the Red Cross to keep up with the demand in Central New York during the winter months. Right now they really could use your help!

Stop by Drumlins Country Club between 12 Noon and 6 pm on Thursday, February 20, and give blood. Yes, yes, it takes some time, but the Red Cross has made giving blood easier than ever with their RapidPass option.

OCMS and Laurence will be there to greet and assist you in any way we can!

If there's an easier way to help save a life we don't know what that is. Plus, you get refreshments after, a free American Red Cross T-shirt, and the good feeling that comes from knowing that you made a difference. For real. If you're wondering if your little pint of blood really matters that much click here .

If you aren't comfortable signing up online, feel free to call OCMS, (315) 424-8118, and we'll put you in the schedule right over the phone!
