In accordance with COCA, Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine has obtained its Certificate of Occupancy on or before December 31, 2023. We are so grateful for everyone's part in obtaining the certificate in order for us to move forward. This thrilling milestone will allow us to continue with our pre-accreditation site visit with COCA next week. More updates about moving into OCOM are detailed below.

Major Milestone Reached

We are grateful and thankful to each and every one of our faculty preceptors. OCOM has reached this major milestone of 1,000 clinical faculty. We're thrilled that our network is growing.

Library Resources

The OCOM library completed implementation of the library's integrated library system, Alma, which serves as the backend database housing patron and library collection information. Alma, along with a discovery layer called Primo VE, work in tandem to provide a single point of access for users to find and utilize the library’s offerings. Now that implementation of Alma and Primo VE are complete and occupancy of the building is set to commence, the library will begin connecting electronic resources through an authentication service called OpenAthens, which will ensure an integrated and cohesive single sign-on experience for students, staff, preceptors, and faculty to utilize the library's offerings from both on and off campus.

Moving into OCOM

With the Certificate of Occupancy obtained, our Director of Facilities, Len Nicosia, has been hard at work coordinating deliveries of furniture, lab equipment, and classroom resources. Director of IT, Shazam Mohammed, has been busy networking the building so that faculty and staff are able to work out of the building beginning January 16th. The entire team is preparing for the COCA Site Visit on January 24th.

For now, take note of our permanent address moving forward:
