COCA & CIE Updates

OCOM received full licensure (previously provisionally licensed) from the Florida Commission for Independent Education on 4/15/2024. OCOM also hosted a successful site visit from the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) in January 2024 and was granted permission to matriculate students and begin instruction. OCOM will host a COCA Year-1 Site Visit in January 2025. Additionally, OCOM will have an Accreditation Site Visit during Academic Year 2027-2028 with an anticipation of full accreditation by COCA prior to the graduation of the first class in Spring 2025. Additionally, OCOM has submitted an application for regional accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission. This process will take 4 - 6 years to complete and is part of our strategic plan as we develop into a world-class global university in the years ahead.
