LOOKING AHEAD

More than 460 House and Senate candidates will finish e-filing their deposit reports by April 20 for the first quarter of 2023.

Candidates and committees may have IRS and/or DOR filing requirements. For further guidance, click here.

Special House elections are scheduled for two Boston seats: the 9th Suffolk and 10th Suffolk districts. Click here for OCPF's special elections page, where candidate activity is posted.

PUBLIC RESOLUTION LETTERS

The following list is a summary of agency actions issued recently by OCPF. Click the "agency actions" button below to view the full documents.

CPF-22-42: John Lawn, Watertown. Did not comply (3/2/2023). Late disclosure of deposits, excess contributions, late clarification of expenditures.

CPF-23-1: Lewis Evangelidis, Holden. Did not comply (3/2/2023). Committee expenditures made outside the depository bank account.

AGENCY ACTIONS

Municipal Non-Filers

We've issued a new memo outlining the process for candidates and committees who fail to file reports on the local level.

Candidates and committees can be fined $25 a day up to $5,000 for failing to file a report on the local level. CLICK HERE FOR THE MEMO

OCPF'S TOP TEN LISTS ARE UPDATED EACH MONTH

Candidates are encouraged to upload photos of themselves to OCPF's website. The photos appear on individual candidate pages, as well as our municipal pages.

There are about 250

political action committees

organized with OCPF. They can make $500 contributions to candidates, each calendar year.

Candidates and committees can sign up for campaign finance training classes via Zoom. The classes last about 45 minutes.

Highly recommended for campaign teams, on the state and local levels.

OCPF focuses on an educational theme each month on its social media platforms. For the month of April, it's: campaign activity in government buildings and on public property.
