OCRA COVID-19 RESPONSE GRANT

Extending A Hand To Our Local Businesses OCEDP teamed up with the county and Region 15 to apply for the Office of Community and Rural Affairs COVID-19 Response Grant. This Grant awarded the county $250,000 to disburse to small businesses that were impacted during COVID-19 and that met the grant qualifications. A committee assembled of county officials and leaders met in September to review applications.

County Wide 31 applications were received from all over the county, West Baden, French Lick, Paoli, and Orleans. OCEDP received applications from a wide variety of businesses. We had anywhere from machine shops to your local pet groomers to hospitality based businesses.

Making It Personal Kristal and Chelsey went door to door announcing awards to grant recipients. The reaction they received from business owners and knowing how these funds will keep these businesses going was a rewarding experience for the OCEDP team.
