Mark your calendar for OCSA’s Academic Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 7. Classroom presentations will be held in person on the OCSA campus from 6-8:22 p.m. Please note, in order for faculty and staff members to prepare for Back-to-School Night, Thursday, September 7 will be a no-conservatory schedule day, with school starting at 9 a.m. and concluding at 2:30 p.m. Stay tuned for more details regarding Back-to-School Night in next week’s Weekly Wrap. 

Ice Cream Social 

As part of the Academic Back-to-School Night festivities, the Arts & Enterprise Conservatory will be hosting an Ice Cream Social fundraiser from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Container Lot. Enjoy a cold ice cream, sundae, or float before meeting your student’s teachers and visiting their classrooms. You can mingle with other OCSA families and participate in “Chat with a Counselor,” where the counselors will be available to answer any questions you may have. Visual Arts Conservatory students will also be selling their beautiful ceramic bowls! All proceeds from the Ice Cream Social directly benefit the Arts & Enterprise and Visual Arts Conservatories.

As a reminder, students may only utilize food delivery services for food delivery from 4-5:30 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays. The food must be prepaid and dropped off at the front desk of the Tower. Food dropped off any time prior to 4 p.m. may be discarded.

Is your student interested in taking the PSAT/PreACT exams? OCSA will administer the PSAT on Saturday, October 14 and the PreACT on Saturday, October 21. Registration for these exams is now available on MySchoolBucks. Please be aware of the following registration deadlines: 

PSAT: Monday, September 4 by 9 p.m. 

PreACT: Sunday, September 10 by 9 p.m.

Pass Back Night, where a presenter will help students interpret their practice test scores and explain how to prepare for the SAT and ACT, will be held on Wednesday, January 17 at 5 p.m.

Our upcoming Season Premiere 2023 is officially sold out; however, whether you are planning to attend the event or not, you can still contribute and make an impact in support of our outstanding student artists by participating in the Season Premiere Opportunity Drawing! We are thrilled to announce that registration is now open for CSArts Academy’s Fall 2023 session. In addition, CSArts Academy has expanded its offerings to include brand-new Discovery Courses for our youngest artists ages 5-7! The fall Saturday Series invites students ages 5-15 from throughout the community to experience a variety of arts disciplines in a creative and nurturing environment. It’s Time to Submit Senior Yearbook Info

Graduating seniors need to submit all of their required senior yearbook information no later than Friday, January 12 (preferably MUCH sooner!) to ensure they are fully celebrated at graduation AND in the yearbook! The health and safety of our students, staff, and community remain at the forefront of our efforts. OCSA will continue to follow all quarantine guidance set by the California Department of Public Health. At this time, mask wearing on the OCSA campus is optional. Students who have tested positive for COVID-19 and/or are exhibiting symptoms should remain at home and fill out the COVID-19 Reporting Form.
