ON-CAMPUS COVID-19 TESTING
OCSA has recently changed to a new COVID-19 testing company to help accommodate the larger volume of testing that is occurring on campus. Therefore, students, staff, and OCSA community members who had previously registered with Global Pass will need to re-register with OmniPathology. Good news! Once you are registered, that is all that needs to be done. Individual appointments are NOT NEEDED to be tested on campus – you can simply show up during one of our testing windows. Please visit the COVID-19 Dashboard for directions on how to register and to access the testing schedules.
CSARTS ACADEMY REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Calling all young artists! Registration is now open for the CSArts Academy Spring 2022 session. This spring, CSArts Academy is presenting extracurricular classes each Saturday designed for students ages 8-15 of various skill levels, in a variety of artistic disciplines.

STUDENT DESIGN CONTEST FOR APPAREL
Attention students in all conservatories and grade levels: Are you interested in having your design skills showcased on a limited-edition OCSA apparel item? We are currently accepting student design submissions to be featured on the front of a t-shirt or sweatshirt in our next schoolwide online apparel sale. Don’t miss your chance to create a new spirit look that all your peers can be proud of, including our newest group of OCSA students being admitted this spring!

To be considered, please submit your design through this form by Monday, February 28 at 11:59 p.m. Be sure to include your full name, conservatory, and graduating year along with your submission. Please see additional design guidelines below.

Designs must:
  • Only use ONE color (all black or all white preferred) so the artwork can be placed on top of a variety of colored apparel
  • Incorporate the full school name (Orange County School of the Arts) OR the school acronym (OCSA) as a text element within your design
  • Incorporate the approved OCSA star/box logo somewhere in your design
  • Be applicable to the whole school (please do not feature the name of any one conservatory)
  • Be school appropriate
  • No violent or inappropriate imagery or text
  • Be submitted as one of the following file types, with all fonts and strokes outlined:
  • Adobe Illustrator (.Ai)
  • Vector (.EPS)
  • High-res Photoshop (.PSD) at 300DPI

Once all submissions have been received, a panel of administrators and staff will be reviewing the designs to select a small group of finalists. Then these final designs will be shared on the @WeAreOCSA Instagram account so our OCSA community can vote and determine the winning design for inclusion in our next sale! Stay tuned for a future newsletter notifying the OCSA community of how and when to vote.

If you have any questions about this student design contest, please email [email protected]. Good luck and happy designing!

HELP KEEP OCSA HEALTHY & SAFE
The following are a few reminders to keep our school community safe and informed:

  • Do not come to school if you are sick or experiencing flu or COVID-19 symptoms.
  • If you have received a positive COVID-19 test, have a possible exposure to COVID-19, or experience COVID-19 symptoms, please report it to the school through the COVID-19 Reporting Form as soon as you can.
  • Continue to wear masks at school while indoors, as well as outdoors whenever physical distancing is not feasible. With the highly contagious nature of the Omicron variant, the CDC is recommending that everyone wear surgical-grade (3-ply) masks of non-woven material that are well-fitted to the face.
  • Please remember that free weekly COVID-19 testing is offered every Monday in the Symphony Hall lobby from 12-4:30 p.m. to all students, families, faculty, and staff as an extra health and safety resource. Visit our COVID-19 Dashboard for more information.

All of OCSA’s most recent COVID-19 information, including policies, procedures, and important health and safety resources, can be found on our COVID-19 Dashboard. Thank you for helping to keep our school environment safe for all students and staff!
