COURSE SELECTION FOR 2025-2026

Course selection presentations for the 2025-2026 school year are currently in progress with the school counselors. Please see below for the dates of the presentations, which take place in students’ Social Studies or Health classes. Students select their courses in Aeries during the presentations; however, hard copies of the forms must also be turned in to The Dhanidina Family Student Services Office in the Humanities Tower, Room 101, with a parent/guardian signature by the grade level deadline. Forms received after the deadline will be dated and receive lower priority for classes, especially electives. There is also an accompanying parent presentation via Zoom for each grade level, please see below for dates and click here at the appropriate time to join the Zoom presentation (Password: OCSA).

DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT

Ready to throw down in OCSA’s ultimate athletic competition? It is time for you and your team to sign up for the Spring Dodgeball Tournament! Don’t delay, as there are only a limited number of slots available, and they will fill up fast. Click here to sign up by Friday, March 28. DECA TEAM & COURSE

Rising 10-12 grade students: The Arts & Enterprise Conservatory would like to invite those interested in the DECA team and conservatory class to a mandatory information meeting on Tuesday, March 18 or Wednesday, March 19 during Lunch in the Dance, Music, and Science Center (DMS), Room 101. DECA curriculum and competitions prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. BE A PART OF OCSAFEST

Calling all student performers, visual artists, and art vendors! OCSAFEST is now accepting auditions and applications to be a part of this two-day festival! Presented by the Arts & Enterprise Conservatory, OCSAFEST is an inclusive, cross-conservatory music and art festival that celebrates YOU, our unique and talented OCSA students. And this year, OCSAFEST is bigger and better, featuring a classic car show on Saturday, May 31! Click here to submit your audition or application before Friday, April 11. OCSAFEST will be held on Friday, May 30 from 2:30-6:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 31 from 1-5 p.m. in The Callero Family Foundation Plaza (DMS Quad).

ATTEND A GALA REHEARSAL

This is your last chance to see OCSA students prepare for their upcoming performance at Gala 2025: House of Muse! There are only a handful of tickets still available to attend the final rehearsal for Gala 2025 on Sunday, March 16 from 3-5 p.m. in the Margaret A. Webb Theatre. Tickets are $50, and all proceeds will benefit the deserving and talented students of OCSA. Click here to purchase your tickets before it's too late! Each family may purchase up to two tickets to ensure there is room for all interested attendees.


Please note: This is a true rehearsal, without costumes, and may include stops and starts as the team prepares for the show. Since this is a sneak peek, there will be a strict NO RECORDING OR PHOTOGRAPHY policy; however, several weeks after Gala 2025 on Saturday, March 29, we will share a link to an archival video of the final performance with all rehearsal attendees at no additional cost.

Families with children ages 5-15: Plan ahead for a summer arts adventure with CSArts Academy classes, held on the campuses of OCSA and our sister school, California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley (CSArts-SGV). Once the Spring 2025 State of the Art is available for viewing, we will send out an email with the direct link. Graduation is Fast Approaching

Class of 2025: Please click here for the most up-to-date graduation information. It is very important that seniors and their families read this document carefully, as it contains detailed information regarding the remainder of senior year and graduation. Senior information can also be found on our website at www.ocsarts.net/12thGrade.


Listed below are some important dates:


Wednesday, March 19 | Senior Class Panoramic Picture 

Seniors will meet on 10th Street at 10:45 a.m. We ask that students please have patience, as they will likely need to stand in lines prior to the photo. The photographer will coordinate the students, with some sitting on a tarp or chair and some standing. Please keep the following in mind:


• Seniors will be released from Block 2 at 10:40 a.m. to go to 10th Street.

• Please follow the directional signs and line up by height.

• Be sure to bring all your belongings to be dismissed to Lunch after the picture.

• Suggested attire is a blue top or shirt, pants or shorts, comfortable shoes, and no hats.


Wednesday, May 21 | Academic Distinction & Seal of Biliteracy Celebration

On the Albert & Miaad Bushala Patio (Symphony Hall Steps) from 12-1 p.m.


Tuesday, May 27 | Graduation Distribution 

Caps, gowns, tassels, tickets, conservatory stoles, senior t-shirts, and senior class panoramic pictures distributed to seniors only from 12-1 p.m. in the Breezeway.


Tuesday, June 3 | Textbook and Device Return Deadline 

To receive a diploma after the graduation ceremony, all textbooks and devices must be returned by 1 p.m. 


Tuesday, June 3 | Last Day of School


Thursday, June 5 | Graduation Rehearsal

Rehearsal will be at Cottonwood Church in Los Alamitos from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (mandatory for all seniors).


Thursday, June 5 | Graduation Ceremony

Seniors must check in at Cottonwood Church no later than 5:15 p.m.


Friday, June 6 | Grad Night

Grad Night will be at Disney California Adventure Park, check-in will be at 1 p.m. at OCSA in The Callero Family Foundation Plaza (DMS Quad), and the bus will return to OCSA on Saturday, June 7 at 3 a.m. (times subject to change). The bus is mandatory for all students to and from Disney California Adventure Park.

FAFSA Priority Deadline Extended

The state priority deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA) has been extended until Wednesday, April 2. Click here for more information. California state law mandates that all high school seniors complete the FAFSA or must complete an opt-out form. The deadline to submit an OCSA opt-out form is Monday, May 19. Also, be sure to check out the Cash for College free webinars from the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) for answers to common questions about applying for financial aid.
