Course selection presentations for the 2023-2024 school year are currently in progress with the school counselors. Please see below for the dates of the presentations in students’ Social Studies classes. Students will select courses in Aeries during the presentations; however, hard copies of the forms must also be turned in to The Dhanidina Family Student Services Office (T101) with a parent/guardian signature by the grade level deadline. Forms received after the deadline will be dated and receive lower priority for classes, especially electives.

OCSA will be hosting its first-ever Career Expo on Friday, March 24. The intention of the Career Expo is to bring professionals from the OCSA community from various career areas together on our campus to help to educate students in grades 10-12 on what particular careers look like and the journey that was experienced along the way by those who have broken into those industries. Students will have the opportunity to sign up to attend career panels starting Wednesday, March 15 at 8 a.m. Registration will close on Tuesday, March 21 at 5 pm. Space is limited and spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Panel topics will include:

COLLEGE PLANNING MASTER CLASS |
Juniors and sophomores: Are you worried about college? Are you planning on majoring in an artistic or creative field and don’t know where to start your research? OCSA alum and former Musical Theatre Conservatory Director Mr. Scott Barnhardt is coming to Michael F. Harrah Symphony Hall this coming Monday, March 6 at 6 p.m. as an Artist In Residence through the Master Artist Series to discuss the unique opportunities and challenges faced by creative college applicants. Mr. Barnhardt has developed his business, The Creative College Journey, specifically to help families with arts applicants walk through the college admissions process with more clarity, enjoyment, and knowledge. This workshop is geared towards students who plan on applying for any creative arts major, such as acting, musical theatre, music, film, dance, and creative writing, as well as students hoping to bridge their artistic interests with their academic pursuits.

It is very important that seniors and their families read this four-page document carefully, as it contains detailed information regarding the remainder of senior year and graduation. Class of 2023 Important Dates
Sunday, March 12 – Grad Night Purchase Deadline (Grad Night is included for those who purchased Senior Packages A or B. Please note that the deadline has changed since the Senior Bulletin was emailed.)
Wednesday, March 22 – Senior Class Panoramic Picture, 10:45 a.m., Annex Blacktop
Monday, May 22 – Graduation Distribution, during Lunch and Office Hours in the breezeway (caps, gowns, tassels, tickets, and senior class panoramic pictures distributed to seniors only)
Tuesday, June 6 – Textbooks and Devices Return by 12 p.m. (in order to receive a diploma after Graduation Ceremony)
Wednesday, June 7 – Last Day of School
Thursday, June 8 – Rehearsal at Cottonwood Church, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (mandatory)
Thursday, June 8 – Graduation Ceremony, check in no later than 5:15 p.m.
Friday, June 9 – Grad Night at Disney California Adventure Park, tentative check in at 1 p.m. in the DMS Quad (bus mandatory), return to OCSA on Saturday, June 10 tentatively at 3 a.m. (bus mandatory). Times are subject to change.
