Students: May is Mental Health Awareness Month, which seeks to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and promote support for those affected by mental health conditions. Come show your support for Mental Health Awareness Month TODAY, Friday, May 16, during Lunch on 10th Street. There will be games, a Polaroid wall, community resources, a stamp rally, and ice cream for purchase! Participants can enter a raffle for tons of cool prizes, and winners will be announced on Art Attack.

Don’t forget to join us next week at our annual Elective Showcase, held at the Margaret A. Webb Theatre on Wednesday, May 21 during Blocks 1, 2, and 3 and on Thursday, May 22 during Blocks 4, 5, and 6. Season Finale 2025 is just over a week away! Time is running out to sign up to audition for MONTAGE! Students from all grade levels and conservatories are invited to audition to be a part of MONTAGE!, OCSA’s enthusiastic performance ambassadors who perform around our community and at exciting VIP events, including OCSA’s annual Gala and Tree Lighting performances. Interested in global issues, debate, or building your leadership skills? Middle and high school students can find out how to join next year’s Model United Nations (MUN) Team at the interest meeting on Wednesday, May 28 at Lunch in the Dance, Music, and Science Center (DMS), Room 114. Come learn what MUN is all about and how to apply for next year’s team.

OCSAFEST is just two weeks away! Presented by the Arts & Enterprise Conservatory, OCSAFEST showcases the talents of nearly 200 OCSA students and local artists and features live music, dancing, an artisan market, and fun activities for the whole community. Come make waves with us in The Callero Family Foundation Plaza (DMS Quad) on Friday, May 30 at 2:30 p.m., and again on Saturday, May 31 at 1 p.m. – now featuring a classic car show!

Here is a brief summary of some important dates in the 2025-2026 school year:

• First Day of School: Wednesday, August 13
• Last Day of Fall Semester: Thursday, December 18
• First Day of Spring Semester: Tuesday, January 6
• Last Day of School: Tuesday, June 2

Please make note of the dates above and use the linked documents to make any needed future plans. While we do not anticipate making further changes, it is possible that dates may have to be adjusted based on factors outside of OCSA’s control. 

We hope to see all of our wonderful students returning in the fall, but if you plan to disenroll from OCSA and enroll in another school for the 2025-2026 school year, please make sure you fill out the withdrawal form before Tuesday, June 3.

The deadline to submit your accomplishments to be featured in the spring semester edition of State of the Art is TODAY, Friday, May 16! Whether you would like to showcase a recent casting, certification, award, scholarship, or something else entirely, we want to hear about it all! Stay tuned for an email alerting our community that the spring accomplishments are available to view, coming soon. Submissions received after today will be featured in the fall semester.

Summer is almost here! Plan ahead for a creative adventure with CSArts Academy classes, held on the campuses of OCSA and our sister school, CSArts-SGV. Thursday, May 22 – Senior Chalk, 12-1 p.m. on 10th Street

Tuesday, May 27 – Graduation Distribution, during Lunch and Office Hours in the breezeway (caps, gowns, tassels, tickets, and senior class panoramic pictures distributed to seniors only)

Wednesday, May 28 – Senior Yearbook Distribution (time and place TBA)

Tuesday, June 3 – Textbooks and Devices Return by 1 p.m. (to receive a diploma after Graduation Ceremony)

Tuesday, June 3 – Last Day of School

Thursday, June 5 – Rehearsal at Cottonwood Church, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (mandatory) 

Thursday, June 5 – Graduation Ceremony, check in no later than 5:15 p.m.

Friday, June 6 – Grad Night at Disney California Adventure Park, tentative check in at 1 p.m. in the DMS Quad (bus mandatory), return to OCSA on Saturday, June 7 tentatively at 3 a.m. (bus mandatory). Times are subject to change.
