While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated their mask guidance to indicate that vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks in most environments, the CDC and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) have not relaxed their face covering requirements for schools.
Please remember that all students, staff, and campus visitors are required to wear cloth face coverings while on campus and at school events.
Dismissal Time
Please note that, now that conservatory instruction has ended, dismissal will be at 1:45 p.m. each afternoon from Monday, May 24 - Friday, June 4. Please plan accordingly.
Memorial Day Holiday
Due to the Memorial Day holiday, the school will be closed on Monday, May 31. In light of spring semester final exams, Monday, June 7 and Tuesday, June 8 will be virtual days, during which all students will join their classes remotely from home, regardless of learning academy. Hybrid/in-person students in Cohort A will not report to campus on those two days. The last day of school for the 2020-2021 school year will be Tuesday, June 8.

Attention rising juniors: Applications are now available for the 2021-2022 Professional Mentorship Program and are due by Friday, June 18. OCSA’s Professional Mentorship Program provides an invaluable opportunity for students to gain exposure to real-world career paths, receive hands-on experience, and make a connection with a business professional during their junior year.
Please click here to apply! Upon completion of the application, all efforts will be made to match students with an OCSA Board member, alumni, current or alumni parent, or other professional from the OCSA community. Mentors will share their experiences, help explore career options, and give advice about college and/or professional development after high school. The program gives students an opportunity to “test-drive” a career of interest, receive valuable information about the realities associated with a chosen profession, and benefit from the guidance of a caring adult outside the family and school structure.
Please note that OCSA will work diligently to pair as many students as possible with a professional mentor, however, there is no guarantee that all students will be matched.
As a reminder, our Virtual Senior Awards Night, hosted via livestream, will be held this coming Thursday, May 27 at 6 p.m.! OCSA will honor members of the Class of 2021 through academic distinctions, teacher awards for academic excellence, scholarships, and more. The celebration will also include slides featuring the names of those being recognized by OCSA’s academic honor societies, as well as our Seal of Biliteracy recipients.
In the past, Senior Awards Night has been an invitation-only event due to physical space limitations; however, because the event will be virtual, all seniors and their families are invited and encouraged to watch and celebrate the academic achievements of the Class of 2021. To tune in on the evening of the event, please visit
