The outdoor fans & tents came down. The umbrellas, chairs & patio tables went back to storage. Cords of wood got delivered & stacked. Lois came by to set up the coat check room...

The Egopantis enjoys the transition to our most festive & varied season!

We caught this beautiful bride at the top of our Tavern stairway as she prepared to sit down for her wedding feast.

Diane & Karl from Buffalo stopped by during a visit to their son in NH. Karl was stationed at Ft. Devens 1963-64.

On Saturday, Chef prepared a special "Chef's Gift" or 'amuse bouche' for a visiting party of 10.

Sliced duck atop whipped parsnip, with pear relish, cherry Port wine reduction & a sprig of fried sage.

The hardest working staff in show business took advantage of a sunny morning to stack multiple cords of wood for winter. Our fireplaces will be starting up in time for Thanksgiving.

On Sunday, the Egopantis learned our friend & fellow Shirleyite Fran Gray was celebrating her 96th birthday by attending The Bull Run Speaker Series to hear author & naturalist Sy Montgomery; staff conspired to bring out a cake & your Innkeeper called upon the sold out room sing. Huzzah!
