This past weekend we were given a tragic reminder of how precious a young life is. We are so fortunate to have known Maria, and we thank her for bringing that smile to every game, practice, School of Xcellence and futsal sessions. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of her loved ones...she will not be forgotten

  • Players train with their Penn Legacy Team. If there are not enough players on one team we will combine the black and white team in that specific age group.
  • Players practice once a week for 60 minutes. Girls on Mondays and Boys on Tuesdays.
  • Players will participate in Sports Performance Training, 30 Minutes for younger players, 60 minutes for older players.

Futsal develops skill, control, and technique. A small pitch with lines puts players constantly under pressure from other players and out-of-play boundaries. Players must learn to settle the ball quickly, cut sharply, shield effectively, pass and move into space. Players with the ball must use proper technique to maintain control and must seek out other players in space. Players without the ball must move into space and support their teammates.
If you are serious about skills and technique development, futsal is the superior activity. Futsal promotes better technical proficiency and develops skills more rapidly.

Optional Training Sessions for players on U16 and older Penn Legacy teams starts Oct 4.
These sessions are primarily for Penn Legacy players who are not able to train because they are not able to play for their school teams. This will allow players to stay active with their foot on the ball until their Penn Legacy team starts to train once school ball is over.
The training will be with our U15 boys and girls team on Wednesday nights as follows:
  • Female players can train with the Penn Legacy U15 Girls Black team coached by Kyle Diem, 730pm to 900pm at the Quad.
  • Male players can train with the Penn Legacy U15 Boys Black Team coached by Dave Simpson 730pm to 845pm at the Quad.
These sessions will continue until older teams start to train again once school balls starts.
All you need to do if you plan on attending these sessions is email Mike Logan at logan@pennlegacy.org with your name and email address. We need this information so we can email you in case any of the sessions are cancelled. Any questions please email Mike Logan.
