At Holy Faith our mission is that everyone come to know, love and serve God in union with Christ Jesus and his Spirit-filled Catholic Church. In doing so we are committed to our vision to build together a community of compassion in Christ.
FEAST OF OUR LADY OF THE LECHE: Our Bishop has directed that all the parishes in the diocese celebrate this important feast this Sunday, October 10th. All Sunday Masses will be celebrated for Our Lady of La Leche instead of the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time. It will be a joyous celebration.

Reminder: We will also provide a viewing of the livestream Canonical Coronation of Our Lady of La Leche from the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine this Sunday at 2pm inside Holy Faith Church. Don't miss this historical event for our Diocese.

Bishop Estevez has approved this live streamed special Mass to fulfil the Sunday obligation and has given permission to distribute Holy Communion immediately after the Mass. The Sunday collection will also be taken after the Mass.

Blessed is the womb that carried you
and the breasts at which you nursed.”
Luke 11:27b
As we prepare to gather for Mass physically or virtually, reading the Sunday Scripture readings in advance will help prepare us in mind and heart to fully participate in the Mass. These are the readings for the celebration of Our Lady of La Leche this weekend: Click to read.

A good way to just listen to the words of Scripture
is to close your eyes and let the Holy Spirit move you.

Vocation Day of Reflection
Holy Faith Catholic Church
Thursday, October 14 2021 at 4:00pm inside the Church

We are inviting men and women in our local Catholic community, who may be hearing God's call to the priesthood or religious life, to join us in a vocation date of reflection, on Thursday, October 14 from 4pm to 6pm at Holy Faith Parish inside the church. There will be opportunity for confessions, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and a talk by Fr. Mike Elias, Vocation Director of the Gainesville Deanery.
In addition to the Canonical Coronation next week, we have yet another historical event for our diocese. On Sunday, Oct. 17, beginning with a 2 pm Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church the diocese has initiated a local process of the universal synod called for by Pope Francis. This synod will be a synod on synodality, the purpose of which will be for us to examine how we journey together and listen to the voices of all as we work to build up the Kingdom of God. Bishop Estévez has appointed a committee with vast representation from across the diocese to enact our local diocesan synod consultation over the next several months. The first of three steps is the kick-off on October 17th that will be held in every diocese across the world.  The second step will be a national consultation.  The third step will be held in Rome in 2023.
