OCTOBER 2022

NEWSLETTER

God is at Work in the LRBA! Please make plans to be at our exciting Fall

Annual Meeting October 24 at Coats Baptist Church.

Celebrating testimonies from our LRBA Churches:

  • Neill’s Creek Church has seen God do incredible things and people coming to

Christ and being baptized over the last two years as they have been Prayer-

Walking their neighborhoods and inviting people to church. Pastor Chris Turner

will be sharing about this “revival movement” taking place in his church at our Fall

Annual Meeting on October 24.

  • Pastor Doug Short at Covenant Reformed Baptist Church in Angier has seen over

100 new people join their church in the last year.

  • Youth DNOW Weekend hosted at Piney Grove Chapel September 16-18 saw over

30 young people give their hearts to Christ.

Please come enjoy Italian for dinner and hear more great reports and testimonies. Also hear about possible IMB Partnership Mission Opportunities in – Malaysia, Western Europe, Middle East, Liberia, and Maine.

Pastors' Appreciation Month Ideas:

  • Pray for your pastor, his wife and family daily-when you brush your teeth let your toothpaste remind you to pray for your pastor.
  • Text your pastor your prayers for him and words of encouragement on a regular basis.
  • Tell your pastor what you’ve gotten out of his messages and how it is helping you.
  • Give gifts to your pastor and his wife, send them to conferences and retreats each year.
  • Occasionally help his family go on vacation or share your beach house with them.
  • Provide a sabbatical time every seven years.
  • Be an example of showing honor and respect to your pastor and his wife.
  • Take good care of your pastor and his family.
  • Encourage your budget and finance committee to account for inflation in salary and benefit increases.
