Dear Caregivers & Parents,

The first month of the 2024-25 school year has quickly passed, and we are now sending out our October newsletter article. I wish to thank everyone for the smooth and strong start to the school year! Our collective efforts, from the support staff, our teachers, our students, and our parents, have led to this successful start. Students and staff are focused on achieving a variety of academic goals and milestones, and your regular attendance is a key factor in our success. Let's take a moment to appreciate our achievements and the hard work that has gone into them.

WDHS HOMECOMING & HALL OF FAME INDUCTION

Homecoming is scheduled for the week of October 14th-18th, and this ongoing tradition will see various dress-up days and extra-curricular contests. The traditional homecoming football game is set for Friday, October 18, 2024, versus Nekoosa, with kick-off slated for 7:00 p.m. Prior to kick-off at 6:30 p.m., the district will be inducting deserving former student-athletes into the WDHS Hall of Fame. This year's inductees were a part of the 1984 State Champion Volleyball Team: Jeff Diehl, Bill Rudersdorf, and John T. "Jack" Doyle. The district will be commemorating their induction with a program insert highlighting their high school and collegiate success. We hope to see you there! Our social media channels will also put out several reminders for homecoming and HOF activities. We hope to see you there!  ...READ MORE

A "note" from the SDWD Elementary Music Department

By: Julie Ennis, Spring Hill Elementary Principal

Music education enhances students’ creativity, discovery, and cultural awareness. We strive to connect music to all aspects of life including math, reading, global studies, and more. In music class we are able to count, keep a steady beat, read lyrics, read our daily “I Can” statements, draw pictures that bridge our understanding of a song, and learn about other places in the world. While working towards our upcoming program, students will be learning and demonstrating what they know about Veterans and making personal connections...READ MORE
