From The Pastor

After much prayerful consideration with the Worship Team, opinions gathered from congregants face-to-face, and online and in person surveys, it has been decided that we will not have a LATE Christmas Eve service on December 24, 2024.

We will certainly keep our 5:30 worship service and soup supper after that service.

The 5:30 Christmas Eve Worship service will be streamed.

This was not an easy decision for there are many faithful, theological, emotional, and rational reasons to hold a late worship service and to not hold a late worship service.

Therefore, Christmas 2024 at First Christian Church (DOC) – across from Jaarsma Bakery (for the moment) - will have one Christmas Eve Worship service at 5:30 with a fellowship soup supper to follow.

Do you know what hasn’t changed? Not once in thousands of years? The Christ Child.

Hebrews 13:8 reminds us:

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever.
