OCTOBER NEWSLETTER
Hello everyone,

By the next newsletter, we will be saying "have a great winter" as the season is coming to an end. This week temperatures rebound some with mid to high 60s bringing us a great week for golf! Make sure to get out and play a few holes while there is still time. Fall golf is the best!

As you may have seen, Agri-scape is on the course working hard. On Friday we finished off the tees on hole #1. Currently we plan to sod the tees on hole #3 Tuesday, and by the end of the week, tees on #5, 8 and 11 will be polished off. There are three more items on the list:

  1. Reshaping and sodding the ground surrounding #4 green
  2. Reshaping and sodding the ground behind the green and to the right on hole #14
  3. Running a drainage line across #16 fairway.

Believe or not, this should be all completed in the next week and a half , weather permitting. Hard to shape land when it is wet and greasy.

Due to the course being busy, small crew of staff and construction going on, John and Howard were given a pass on article contribution for this newsletter. Time has flown by! Not to worry, they will both be back next month.

Given the current forecast of rain Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, we have decided to push back aerifying the greens to Monday, October 18th and Tuesday, October 19th. The course will be open this coming Monday, October 4th and Tuesday, October 5th starting at 8am, weather permitting.

COMING UP:

  • Monday, October 18th and Tuesday, October 19th: Aerification
  • Course completely closed for day on Monday, October 18th
  • Course will have 9 holes open on Tuesday, October 19th starting at 12pm
  • Pub will be closed both of these days

MEMBER - MEMBER RESULTS:

1ST Place Gross: 41 points M.O.C.
                 Kevin Cieplick and Mike Dionne

1ST Place Net: $160/Team ($80 each) – 45 points M.O.C
                Bill Storey & Matt Clow

I would like to ask everyone: staff, members, guests and visitors, if you are not feeling well, even if it is just a cold, please refrain from coming to the course. While you may feel it is not that bad, given the world and COVID, please think of others and take the time to get better before spreading the germs.

As always, if you have any questions or need any help, please do not hesitate to reach out to JP or myself. We are here for you.

2022 MEMBERSHIP

Now open to anyone, first come, first served.
Limited spots available.
In 2022 Kwiniaska will be entering its 5th year with Mr. Nappi as the owner. The course has come along wonderfully and we have no course renovations planned for 2022! By bringing Agri-Scape back this fall, they should complete the rest of the "To-Do" list. Mr. Nappi plans to concentrate on the replacement of willow trees and the landscaping of our course with other trees and flowers.

As the world tries to rebound from the effects of the pandemic, the cost of everything has gone up, from chemicals, materials, fuel, payroll, etc. Due to this, membership pricing for 2022 has increased as well.

Any member paying with cash or check will have the 6% sales tax included in their 2022 price. That is a 6% savings! You save the sales tax, we save on the credit card processing fees. If you rather pay by credit card, that is acceptable, just know that the price listed below for your age group will have sales tax added to it.

We are well on our way to filling up as we have the past two years, so do not delay, get your deposit in as soon as you can to secure a spot in the membership for 2022! A minimum deposit of $250 for a single or $500 for a family is required.

Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Regular golf season is defined May 1st - November 1st, weather permitting.
