Happy Opportunity October, My Friends,

We survived another month and are hastily heading toward the Thanksgiving month.

But, observing what's happening in the world--the President, pandemic, politics, fires, floods, etc.--we don't have to wait for Thanksgiving to give our Thanks.

Whatever we are presently experiencing, it could be much worst. As the saying goes, "What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger."

Nevertheless, we can all do just a little more to help our fellow neighbors who may be in greater need than us but may be too embarrassed or too proud to ask for help.

Lets reach out and do our Godly duty and help. Who knows, these persons we help may be angels in disguise.

NOTE: A SPECIAL PRAYER FOR PRESIDENT
TRUMP & FIRST LADY: THEY TESTED POSITIVE
FOR COVID-19 LATE LAST NIGHT.

You and your family, please
Stay Safe and Continue to Practice the
Three W's: Wear Your Mask; Wash Your Hands; & Watch Your Distance (6 Feet Apart).
Blessings,
Hattie (Aunt Hattie)
OCTOBER is National Book Month
National Book Month

National Book Month is held every October and is a month-long celebration that focuses on the importance of reading, writing, and literature and is used to honor amazing authors and books.

As the warm weather starts to leave and the cooler, darker days start to approach, it is the perfect time to get comfortable and curl up on the couch with a good book.

Our daily lives can become busy and overwhelming, and taking time to read is often pushed to the side. However, Reading is one of the best things for your mental health and can improve vocabulary, spelling & memory.
"People Who Can Read,
But Don't Read;
Are No Better Off,
Than Someone Who Can't Read."

READING CAN TAKE YOU PLACES!
SO BROADEN YOUR HORIZON BY READING, READING, READING.

GOAL: Read At Least One Book A Month

I Opened a Book
I opened a book and in I strode.
Now nobody can find me.
I’ve left my chair, my house, my road,
My town and my world behind me.
I’m wearing the cloak, I’ve slipped on the ring,
I’ve swallowed the magic potion.
I’ve fought with a dragon, dined with a king
And dived in a bottomless ocean.
I opened a book and made some friends.
I shared their tears and laughter
And followed their road with its bumps and bends
To the happily ever after.
I finished my book and out I came.
The cloak can no longer hide me.
My chair and my house are just the same,
But I have a book inside me.

I Thank God for letting me see another glorious
year and to be blessed with good health,
a loving Family, and fabulous friends (Like You).

For my Birthday this year, I would be pleased and
most appreciative if you would make a tax-deductible

Foster youth who have aged out of the foster-care
